This website is a rabbit hole of pure internet nonsense

That’s the whole idea though. Where you end up is anyone’s guess. You might find a game where you race to check 100 boxes, a one-square version of Minesweeper, or a kitten trapped inside a spinning doughnut. Some sites are weird and wacky games. Others are quick jokes. Most of them will leave you wondering why anyone made them in the first place.

See, I told you it’s pure nonesense! But while your on The Useless Web don’t forget to honor the pug.

    Sam Singleton

Developer Tim Holman created The Useless Web in 2012 as a way to collect the strange, silly side of the internet. The site also keeps track of old pages that have disappeared over the years, so it doubles as a small archive of web weirdness.

I like it for the same reason I enjoy a good Wikipedia rabbit hole: you never know where you’ll end up and the randomness is half the fun. The difference is that with The Useless Web, you probably won’t learn anything useful—it’s in the name after all.

Give it a try the next time you have five minutes to kill. Just don’t be surprised if five minutes somehow turns into an hour.
