XBOX is celebrating its 25th anniversary with collaborations and new hardware. An upcoming crossover with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to introduce a snazzy-looking weapon blueprint, especially for XBOX console players.
XBOX acquired Activision Blizzard in October 2023. The deal went through almost two years of global investigations, including from the FTC in the United States and the CMA in the UK, before getting the go-ahead. As a result, XBOX acquired the Call of Duty franchise, which has since seen the company bring older Call of Duty titles to Game Pass and, in the past, release new Call of Duty games on Game Pass on day one.

Infinity Ward has revamped depth of field for Modern Warfare 4 to maintain realism and visibility.
Now, XBOX Series X|S owners who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 can get an exclusive weapon blueprint to mark 25 years of XBOX, but those on other platforms can also get in on the action.
A Celebration of the Team in Green
Players who digitally place a pre-order of Modern Warfare 4 on XBOX Series X|S will be granted the Inner Circuit in-game blueprint, which covers the classic M4 assault rifle in an OG green look.
Since it’s designed as a tribute to 25 years of XBOX, this particular blueprint is akin to translucent Xbox hardware, sharing similarities with the 25 years of XBOX anniversary console. Its transparent green finish allows you to see the weapon’s internal systems, while XBOX 25 sits at the bottom of the magazine. The XBOX logo is also positioned on the side of the weapon, emitting its signature glow.
Modern Warfare 4 players on other platforms won’t be completely excluded from the celebration. Players who pre-order a digital edition of Modern Warfare 4 on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, XBOX on PC, or via Steam or Battle.net, will receive a similar blueprint for the M4, but with alternate mil-spec visuals.
Both versions of the blueprint come equipped with the same attachments. However, the blueprint for those who pre-order on another platform other than the XBOX Series X|S comes in brown and red, with only a subtle XBOX identity.
What’s more, if you’re not playing on XBOX Series X|S console, and you match with an XBOX Series X|S player using the exclusive green blueprint, you’ll visually see the weapon blueprint with its mil-spec visual treatment, while an XBOX console player sees the translucent OG Green version. Only Modern Warfare 4 players on XBOX Series X|S consoles can see the anniversary version, marking the first time Call of Duty has had a visually exclusive weapon blueprint.
Players who digitally place a pre-order of Modern Warfare 4 on XBOX Series X|S will be granted the Inner Circuit Blueprint in-game blueprint, which covers the classic M4 assault rifle in a translucent OG green look.
Offering a further glimpse at weapon builds in Modern Warfare 4, the attachments on the Inner Circuit blueprint are the 11.5″ Shortline Barrel, FTAC Dominion Muzzle, FSS Fireline Grip, SZ Prima-4 Dot Optic, and the ZLR ASP50 Stock. This build is designed to be compact, made for players who like to stay on the move and take on fights at mid and close range.
More Modern Warfare 4 Pre-Order Bonuses
That’s not all that’s up for grabs in terms of Modern Warfare 4 pre-order bonuses. Placing a pre-order of the Standard Edition gives you access to the Hunter Killer Operator Skin that becomes instantly available in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, as well as in Modern Warfare 4 at launch.
Pre-ordering the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 4 offers even more bonuses in the form of the Hunter Killer Operator Skin, Hostile Alliance Operator Pack, Special Forces Operator Pack, Signature Weapon Collection, BlackCell Battle Pass (One Season), and a DMZ Deployment Bonus, all of which are available at launch.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, along with the exclusive XBOX weapon blueprint, will be available worldwide on October 23, 2026.
