There’s the possibility that the South Korean company, Samsung, will add a security chip to its phone batteries for your protection. This addition guarantees quality and safety.
According to reports, Samsung’s aim is to protect you from issues associated with substandard or fake parts like batteries. Thus, adding a security chip to the batteries for some of its phones will help in this regard.
Also according to Korean media, the brand will begin installing a security chip in the batteries for some of its low-end and mid-range phones, like the Galaxy A series. It’ll be the first time that Samsung utilizes such chips so that verifiable authenticity for batteries can be guaranteed.
Furthermore, users who replace their phone batteries can verify if the part used by the service centre is genuine or not. This ensures quality and safety for a critical component inside the device.
Samsung will likely roll out this new safety initiative gradually, with the company installing the chip in approximately 50 million units of the aforementioned devices in 2027.
Though Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed this initiative yet, the initiative will be expanded across the company’s entire lineup.
