Marvelous announced a Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life VR game that will let people experiencing the farming simulation on the Meta Quest 3 and glasses. It will show up worldwide in 2027 and is an adaptation of the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC game Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life. Grounding, the company behind VR games like Onimusha VR Shadow Team and Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash, is involved in its development.
It seems Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life will switch between first-person and third-person perspectives for the farming and life sim. When engaging in certain actions, like milking cows, sheering sheep, fishing, harvesting, or visiting with families, you will see things from a first person perspective and will feature more direct controls. When going to places, planting, caring for animals, visiting locations, and moving around the town map, you’ll see things from above. It also seems like event scenes will involve watching a 2D scene play out.

The gimmick with this particular entry in the series is living a long life and seeing your family over different periods. So it starts out with you first coming to town and establishing yourself with a farm. That portion also involves relationship building to find a possible spouse. Then, there’s a portion with married life and a child. It’s designed to be a “full life” sort of simulation, though it will skip ahead to certain periods in the original game.
Story of Seasons: Your Wonderful Life will appear on the Meta Quest 3 and VR Glasses. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is on the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is on the GameCube and PS2.
