Lenovo LOQ 2K gaming laptop
$1,199 (Original price: $1,850)
CNET expert Matt Elliott tested the laptop and gave it a good 7.5/10 score. He says the laptop “serves up modern components and good 3D performance for the price.” He describes it as an old-school gaming laptop that is powered by present-day Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium but keeps the “widescreen tradition alive.”
Thanks to the 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, you can run heavy games without lagging. The 16GB memory and 512GB SSD help keep things snappy and let you multitask smoothly.
Matt liked that the “movement in games and movies looked smooth on the 144Hz” and said the battery performed well while testing. He also praised the roomy and comfortable keyboard and expandable RAM and SSD. However, he wasn’t very impressed with the design and lack of RGB keyboard backlighting.
Overall, he says the LOQ 15 “is worth considering as a secondary laptop specifically for gaming.” For a more versatile gaming laptop, he recommends the Acer Nitro V 16S AI.
