Samsung isn’t only planning to launch the Galaxy Fit 4 with upgraded wireless connectivity. Reports have shown that the brand is working on a new smartwatch. It looks like the device won’t run Wear OS. There’s the likelihood that it will be priced above the Galaxy Fit 4 (but below the Galaxy Watch FE).
However, references to a new Samsung wearable known as Galaxy Aero have been seen. It runs a real-time operating system (RTOS). This is typical with lower-priced devices like the Galaxy Fit 4. Though it hasn’t been revealed yet whether the device will come with a circular, rectangular, or even square display. But as Samsung refers to it as “galaxy_rtos_watch” in the Galaxy Wearable app’s codebase, it implies that it will come with a screen.
Furthermore, if it’s more expensive than the Galaxy Fit 4, it shows there’s the possibility that it will bring the usual sensors seen on most smartwatches. These include an accelerometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor as well.
Finally, smartwatches that run RTOS use less powerful processors. Generally, on one charge, they can last at least a week. We expect a similar battery life from the Galaxy Aero.
