The Pokemon Official National Pokedex 1996-2026 includes basic information on all 1025 Pokemon that have appeared since 1996. Pokemon trainers of all experience levels can make use of this reference book. This includes Types, height, weight, Abilities, Hidden Abilities, and Pokedex descriptions. You can also check out the evolution charts, as well as look for Pokemon either based on their Dex number or name. For those who are unfamiliar with a specific generation’s gimmick or have forgotten about it, the book also contains explanations on terminology such as Regional Forms or Mega Evolution.
Other books to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pokemon will come out on December 18, 2026. These will be a series of three art books. Book 1 will cover Red/Green to Heart Gold/Soul Silver. Book 2 will cover Black/White to Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon. Finally, Book 3 will cover the Let’s Go games to Z-A Mega Dimension. These art books will include sprites, 3DCG, illustrations, promotional artwork, and setting artwork. Each book will cost 5500 JPY ($34.95), and there won’t be a set that includes all three. You’ll need to buy them separately.
The Pokemon Official National Pokedex 1996-2026 is available in Japan, and the 30th anniversary art books will come out on December 18, 2026. The latest mainline entries in the Pokemon game franchise, Winds and Waves, will come out in 2027 for the Switch 2.
