We all love catching up on award-winning shows and movies from time to time. Netflix’s large catalog has several Emmy-winning shows that don’t require you to invest significant time. These shows and limited series tell complete stories in one go that can be comfortably finished in a long day on the couch. You could even save it for Sunday and finish before Monday rolls around.
If you don’t have the appetite for another multi-season binge, I’ve ranked five Emmy-winning Netflix shows based on how strongly I recommend them, weighing everything from storytelling and performances to rewatch value.

Baby Reindeer
A real stalker story that gets under your skin
Richard Gadd turns his real-life stalking ordeal into one of the most unsettling things Netflix has released. It follows Donny, a struggling comedian who shows a moment of kindness to a lonely woman at his bar. The encounter spirals into years of harassment. As the story unfolds, a series of flashbacks force Donny to confront his own past and unresolved trauma. This show is dark, occasionally funny, and impossible to look away from.

Godless
A gripping tale of survival and sacrifice
Godless might change your mind if you thought Westerns weren’t your thing. Set in an 1880s New Mexico mining town run almost entirely by widows after a tragic disaster that killed most of the men, the show follows an outlaw seeking refuge from his ruthless former mentor who sees the split as betrayal. It delivers one of the most brutal shootouts filmed while also focusing on survival, redemption, and the resilience of an unconventional frontier community.
The story is slowly built and never feels rushed in just seven episodes. There are cinematic landscapes and tense standoffs as well as moments that make you care about the people caught in the conflict. Stars Jeff Daniels and Merritt Wever both won Emmys for their performances in Godless.

Beef season 1
A road-rage accident spirals out of control
Beef constantly shifts between comedy, suspense, and heartbreak without losing momentum. Steven Yeun and Ali Wong are obsessed with ruining each other’s lives over a petty road-rage incident in the parking lot. A simple revenge story spirals into something messier— frustration, identity, family expectations, and mental health.
Beef season 1 bagged eight Emmys in 2024, but what makes it worth watching is the fact that season 2, which dropped this April, has picked up 16 nominations heading into this year’s ceremony. Do note that Beef is now an anthology with the latest season returning with a new cast and a completely new story.

Add these Emmy-winning shows to your watchlists
None of these five award-winning Netflix shows need a second season to prove their point, which might be the whole reason they won in the first place. However, Beef did return for season 2 this year with a new cast, so we’ll see if it has the same luck at the 2026 Emmys. Regardless, next time the Emmys remind you how far you are on prestige TV, remember you’ve already got five wins you could knock out in one sitting.
