Samsung just announced the Galaxy S26 FE, and its main upgrade compared to the Galaxy S25 FE is the newer chipset. The S26 FE comes with the Exynos 2500, which is better in every way than the Exynos 2400 that the S25 FE employed.

The Exynos 2500 is also the only SoC that Samsung is using for the Galaxy S26 FE, there’s no Exynos/Snapdragon split based on market here, or anything like that. You get an S26 FE, you get it with the Exynos 2500, no matter where you are. That’s the deal.

And it’s a pretty good upgrade, all things considered. According to Samsung, the Exynos 2500 delivers 15% higher big-core CPU performance and 39% better on-device AI performance than the Exynos 2400. The Xclipse 950 GPU is faster than the previous-gen one too.

And it’s a good thing that the SoC is better, since otherwise the Galaxy S26 FE is an S25 FE by another name, but with a higher launch price.
