Rockstar streamed GTA 6’s Extended Look on Netflix on August 27, 2026, offering a 26-minute preview captured entirely from PlayStation 5 gameplay. The video premiered on Netflix before arriving on YouTube six hours later, giving fans an extended look at the game’s world, characters, and gameplay ahead of its launch.
The soundtrack running underneath that footage matters beyond trivia. Rockstar has historically used trailer needle-drops to hint at the scale and tone of a game’s in-game radio, and this preview packed in 14 confirmed tracks spanning five decades, from 1970s soft rock to 2023 hip-hop. That range, following Jason and Lucia through the fictional state of Leonidas, signals a soundtrack far broader than a single genre or era.
Below is the complete confirmed tracklist, followed by the songs from GTA 6’s earlier trailers and what the mix suggests about the game’s eventual radio lineup.
What Is the GTA 6 Extended Look?

The Extended Look is Rockstar’s third major GTA 6 media drop, announced for August 27 after two prior trailers in 2023 and 2025. Unlike those trailers, it runs on captured PS5 gameplay rather than cinematic footage, giving a longer, less curated look at mechanics, missions, and the open world. A gameplay leak surfaced shortly before the Netflix stream, which Rockstar addressed by moving up parts of the reveal.

Rockstar hasn’t tagged any of these tracks to a specific in-game radio station or scene yet. Some play over cinematics and montages, others sit inside in-world environments like cars and storefronts, consistent with how GTA 5 layered its soundtrack.
Songs From Earlier GTA 6 Trailers
The Extended Look isn’t the first place Rockstar has dropped music cues. Trailer 1, released in December 2023, used only one track: Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road” (1989), a deep cut off Full Moon Fever that saw a massive Spotify streaming spike after the trailer aired.
Trailer 2 featured six tracks, led by The Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together” (1986) as its main musical cue. The soundtrack also included Jay Ferguson’s “Thunder Island” (1977), Zenglen’s “Child Support” (2004), Wang Chung’s “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” (1989), Tammy Wynette’s “Talkin’ to Myself Again” (1987), and The Arrows’ “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” (1975).
Combined with the Extended Look, Rockstar has now attached 21 confirmed songs to GTA 6 across three reveals, with zero overlap between them. That’s a wider net than either of GTA 5’s pre-launch trailers cast, and it points to a soundtrack built for genre variety rather than one dominant sound.
Will These Songs Be on GTA 6 Radio Stations?
Not necessarily. Trailer music and in-game radio are separate licensing tracks for Rockstar. A song scoring a cinematic doesn’t guarantee it plays on a driveable station, and past GTA games have used trailer-only tracks that never made the final radio lineup. Rockstar typically confirms actual station names and DJ lineups much closer to launch, sometimes only in post-release patch notes.
Given the confirmed weapons list and other systems Rockstar has detailed piece by piece, expect the same drip-fed approach for radio: partial reveals now, full station breakdowns nearer release.
Signing Off
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the Extended Look’s soundtrack is the clearest signal yet of how wide the game’s musical range will run. Expect more confirmed tracks as Rockstar releases additional marketing before launch, and a full radio station breakdown once pre-order and edition details firm up closer to release.
