It was reported in April that Samsung was developing a new Galaxy A series smartphone, the Galaxy A08, to succeed the Galaxy A07. Its launch timeframe as well as battery capacity was revealed.
A new leak has shown the design of the upcoming phone. The Cipher Project has shared an alleged image of the Galaxy A08 and it looks almost identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy A07. It comes with thick bezels around the display. The screen features a U-shaped notch, similar to that of the brand’s entry-level phones.
The rear of the phone has two cameras and a plain, glossy back panel. However, the leak doesn’t reveal if the device shown is the 4G or 5G version. Nevertheless, it’s expected that the two variants will share the same design.
Additionally, reports have shown that Samsung will launch the Galaxy A08 4G in October, 2026. After that the Galaxy A08 5G will follow in February, 2027. It has will feature a 6,000mAh battery, up from the 5,000mAh unit in its predecessor. More details will still unfold before its launch.
