My favorite thing about the C660 is how easy it is to set up. Get up on a ladder, drill a couple of screws into where you want it mounted, actually mount the thing, and you’re done. The included solar panel keeps it powered around the clock and only needs about 45 minutes of sunlight every day to stay topped off. The camera is fully wireless too, so you won’t need to worry about wiring during installation—just hook it up to your Wi-Fi network and you’re good to go.
The camera itself is pretty darn good too. It records in high-res 4K and it can see everywhere. With full 360-degree pan and 98-degree tilt, there’s no spot in your yard that this camera can’t cover. You can steer it via the Tapo app, set it to auto-patrol, or let smart motion tracking follow people, cars, and/or pets as they move across the view.

If you want true 24/7 continuous recording, the C660 drops down to 1 FPS to conserve battery. The tracking system drains battery fast if it’s overlooking a high-traffic area. And while it’s compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, it doesn’t support Apple HomeKit.
