At this point, Injustice 3 is becoming one of the worst kept secrets in the industry, as more evidence emerges that it is real and in development.
MP1ST has spotted the resume of a stunt worker they claim is known to work with Netherealm. The resume doesn’t offer heaps of details, but it does very clearly list the stun worker as providing motion capture for Injustice 3, specifically performing stunt work for Batwoman and Supergirl.
This new evidence comes hot on the super-heels of a call for people to playtest an upcoming triple-A fighting game. Good Gamer Group put up the bat-signal for high-level fighting game players to playtest a mystery fighter in Culver City, California, on September 14 and 15, 2026. However, Injustice 3 is not specifically mentioned, so this is all just speculation.
But Injustice 3 has popped up quite a few times over the last couple of years. An artist popped up listing Injustice 3 in their resume earlier this year, which was hastily take down, presumably to ensure Warner Bros. didn’t send Deadshot after them or something.
Ed Boon himself revealed that Injustice 2 has managed to sell 9 million copies, so there’s an audience there who want to punch Superman in the face.
At this point, the question really isn’t whether Injustice 3 exists, but when it will be revealed to the world. According to Ed Boon, they already knew what their next game after Mortal Kombat 1 would be back in 2021. If the team follows their usual release schedule, their next game should be due out around 2026-2027.
