The fresh set of official-looking marketing materials comes courtesy of WinFuture, giving us a clean look at the front and back designs of Samsung’s refreshed tablet portfolio, ahead of their reported October 7 launch. However, the fine print of the leak notes that since Samsung is using invisible digital watermarks, the renders have been reproduced from Gemini from “freely available original content.” It’s fair to presume the Gemini-generated renders are close enough representations of the real product if WinFuture has seen them both, and we’ve also seen just as much with previous render leaks.
Visually, Samsung doesn’t appear to be reinventing the wheel here. Both tablets seem to retain the familiar aluminum unibody build, complete with flat sides, rounded corners, an IP68 dust- and water-resistance rating, and a dedicated magnetic strip beneath the camera module for stowing and charging the bundled S Pen. The renders display the tablets in standard Silver and Gray color options.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Plus is expected to feature a 12.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel running at 120Hz (2,800 x 1,752 resolution) and weigh around 555g. Around the back, it seemingly sports a single 13MP shooter, paired with a 12MP ultrawide front-facing camera. Notably, the Plus model appears to drop to a dual-stereo speaker setup and runs on a 10,600mAh battery that supports 45W wired fast charging.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could remain an absolute titan. It seemingly retains its massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz display (2,960 x 1,848 resolution) with the familiar notch housing its front camera system. It could weigh in at 693g and measures just 5.1mm thin, packing a quad-speaker array, a 13MP primary plus an 8MP ultrawide rear camera combo, and an 11,600mAh battery with 45W fast-charging capabilities.
Under the hood, both tablets will reportedly switch to MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 platform, with 12GB of RAM as standard and up to 16GB of RAM on the Ultra variant, paired with up to 1TB of storage. A previous leak suggested that the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus (256GB+12GB) will cost $1,200 in the US, while the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra (256GB+12GB) will cost $1,400.
