During the Snapdragon Summit 2026 opening keynote, Motorola revealed the Signature 27, one of the first smartphones to reach the US, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip.
Given Motorola’s focus on foldables in the US market over the last few years, the Signature 27 is one of the first more premium traditional handsets the company has released in recent years. While we’ve only seen renders so far, the aluminum phone seems to feature a thin body and is available in Pantone Coal Smoke, which seems to be black, and a Pantone Capulet Olive that’s basically green. Weird color names, right?
It also features a somewhat odd “feature-inspired” texture on one model and a woven texture on the other. Another weird design quirk is that the phone slopes upward into what Motorola calls a “camera plane.” Adding to the odd look is its four lenses arranged around the rear of the phone like an arch. As far as smartphones go, it’s certainly different and, unsurprisingly, a little controversial.

Beyond the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, we also know that the phone features Bang & Olufsen audio technology. Motorola also confirmed the Signature 27 will get seven years of Android updates. On the camera side, we know the phone features a 200-megapixel periscope lens and a 50-megapixel main camera powered by Sony’s new LOFIC-enabled Lytia 910 sensor, which offers 17 stops of dynamic range.
And that’s it — Motorola hasn’t revealed all the Signature 27’s specs yet. However, with a launch coming before the end of the year, Motorola will likely reveal more soon. Unlike the last Motorola Signature phone, this one is confirmed to be coming to the US.
