It’s been a busy month for Razer—the PC gaming brand has spent the past few weeks unveiling a ton of cool and crazy gadgets, and this includes its new Mako series speakers. Razer says that the new speakers feature fuller sound, deeper bass, and even come with Razer Chroma RGB lighting.
With that being said, the lineup includes two models which consist of the standard Mako, which is a 2.1-channel system designed for users who are after maximum audio presence, with custom-tuned 2.75-inch full-range drivers alongside a forward-firing 3.5-inch subwoofer. It also delivers 40W RMS output, a frequency response down to 45 Hz, 7.1 virtual surround sound, and Rear-Projection Razer Chroma RGB that casts ambient light onto the wall behind the desk.

Meanwhile, the Mako X serves as a more “streamlined” option with a compact 2.0-channel setup that uses passive radiators. These work to extend low-end response down to 60 Hz with up to 30W RMS output; it also features 10-zone Razer Chroma RGB underglow for a more subtle ambient effect.

Both models are designed with a relatively compact shell that projects sound directly toward ear level. Connectivity options for both models include a single USB-C cable for combined power and audio, alongside Bluetooth 5.3 and 3.5mm jack inputs.
