Powerful portable speaker combines 60W audio, adjustable XBass 2.0, 20-hour battery life, IP68 protection and Auracast connectivity

TRIBIT, a global brand which aims to make high-quality audio accessible to all, has announced the launch of the StormBox Max, a powerful new portable Bluetooth speaker designed to deliver bigger, richer sound at home or on the go.

Packing an impressive 60W of total output into a compact, portable design, the StormBox Max combines a 30W woofer with four 7.5W silk dome tweeters to create powerful, room-filling audio with crisp detail and plenty of punch. Whether it’s providing the soundtrack to a garden party, a weekend away or a day at the beach, the StormBox Max has been designed to make music sound bigger without sacrificing portability. The StormBox Max is available form TRIBIT and Amazon for £99.99/€119.99/$129.99.

Turn up the bass with XBass 2.0: For listeners who like to take control of sound, the StormBox Max features TRIBIT’s XBass 2.0, with a dedicated knob offering ±5-step adjustable bass.

Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all bass boost, users can dial the low end up or down to suit the track, setting and personal listening preferences. An additional EQ button makes it easy to switch between TRIBIT Signature and Outdoor modes, while further sound customisation is available through the TRIBIT app. With a frequency response of 53Hz–20kHz, the StormBox Max is engineered to deliver deep lows alongside clear vocals and detailed highs across a wide range of music genres.

Made for the outdoors: The StormBox Max is ready to go well beyond the living room. Its IP68 dustproof and waterproof rating makes it ideally suited to outdoor adventures, from beach days and camping trips to poolside parties and weekends away. Despite its powerful audio performance, it remains easy to take on the move. The speaker weighs just 1,184g, measures 203 x 109 x 109mm and incorporates a practical silicone carrying handle.

Up to 20 hours of music: A portable speaker needs the battery life to match, and the StormBox Max provides up to 20 hours of playtime when using the default EQ at 50% volume. Its dual 5000mAh batteries recharge via USB-C in approximately four hours with 5V/3A charging. The USB-C connection also supports 5V/1A charge-out, allowing the speaker to provide power to another compatible device when needed. An automatic power-off function helps conserve battery by switching the speaker off after 15 minutes without an audio input.

Connect one or connect 100+: Featuring Bluetooth 6.0 with a range of up to 45 metres, the StormBox Max provides a strong wireless connection with compatible devices. For an even bigger soundstage, two StormBox Max speakers can be connected using TWS pairing to create separated left and right stereo channels. For parties and larger spaces, the speaker also supports Auracast, enabling 100+ compatible speakers to be connected for synchronised audio on a much larger scale. The StormBox Max supports AAC and SBC codecs as well as A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP protocols, while built-in hands-free calling adds extra everyday versatility.

    Key features:

    • 60W total output : 30W woofer plus four 7.5W silk dome tweeters
    • XBass 2.0 : dedicated ±5-step adjustable bass control
    • Two EQ modes: TRIBIT Signature and Outdoor
    • Up to 20 hours’ playtime: at 50% volume with default EQ
    • IP68 waterproof and dustproof protection
    • Bluetooth 6.0 with up to 45m range
    • Auracast support for connecting 100+ compatible speakers
    • TWS pairing for left/right stereo sound
    • Dual 5000mAh batteries
    • USB-C charging and charge-out
    • TRIBIT app support for additional control and customisation
    • Portable silicone handle for ease of handling
    • Hands-free calling
