Formula E has announced that it’s partnering with tire manufacturer Bridgestone, which will now step in as the exclusive tire supplier for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, starting with the 2026/27 season. The partnership also coincides with the debut of Formula E’s next-generation GEN4 race car, which packs a ton of upgrades including 600kW of peak power, all-wheel drive, and 100 kph acceleration in just 1.8 seconds.
Bridgestone says that it’s engineered the bespoke, all-weather POTENZA GEN4 tyre range to provide high grip and durability across demanding city circuits. Bridgestone also introduced the POTENZA GEN4 TYPHOON tyre, a heavy-wet specification which is built to ensure maximum stability and racing continuity during severe rain.
