Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO is now two years old, and to celebrate the second anniversary this week, Bandai Namco has detailed what’s next.

The battle is “far from over”, with more events, free updates, game modes and additional fighters planned for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027.

Some new modes joining the game in the future include the Tower of Power, where you’ll face increasingly demanding battles and stronger enemies.

“A new challenge awaits with Tower of Power, a mode designed to put your fighting skills to the test across increasingly demanding battles. As you climb the Tower, stronger enemies will stand in your way, raising the challenge with every step. Fighters who manage to complete the Tower will also be able to earn customization items for their Ki Aura, giving you even more ways to personalize your favorite characters. Tower of Power will first arrive as a Solo experience, with Team-up content also planned as part of the future roadmap.”

The paid DLC Super Limit-Breaking NEO DLC is also on the way to Switch & Switch 2 in Spring 2027.

And last but not least is the announcement of cross-play. It will enter a beta after Summer 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox and Steam. When more details are shared about this feature, we’ll provide an update.
