If you’re playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on Switch 2 this weekend, you might need to update the game since your last session.
Activision hasn’t shared any official notice about this at the time of writing, but a new patch for this version of the title has now gone live. Players are reporting this update requires a download of around 30gb. The size of this update has seemingly surprised some soldiers on Switch 2, but sizable patches like this are quite common for the Call of Duty series.
Activision has taken steps in the past to reduce file sizes, but right now, the Switch 2 version requires about 91gb of system space. The Switch 2 comes loaded with 256gb of internal storage and also allows users to expand storage with microSD Express cards. So if you’re planning on sticking with the multiplayer portion of the game, this might come in handy.
If Activision reveals what is included in this latest patch, we’ll provide an update. In the meantime, check out our MW4 review.
