Surprise! Nintendo had shadow dropped a Nintendo Direct presentation for Pikmin Day. Yes, that’s right, Pikmin day.
As of this year, Nintendo is officially referring to 1st November as ‘Pikmin Day’ – three ones like three Pikmin, get it? We don’t, really, but yay! Pikmin!
There’s nothing in the way of game news to report in this one, with the Direct showcasing another look at Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, Pikmin Bloom goodness and more.
It also gave us our first look at Hello Pikmin, a new series of short films that Nintendo will release monthly, the first of which arrives tomorrow.
Honestly, it’s a bit of a nothing burger, but if you are anything like as big of a Pikmin fan as us, then there’s plenty of smiles to be found here. You can watch the full presentation above.
Jim came to Nintendo Life in 2022 and, despite his insistence that The Minish Cap is the best Zelda game and his unwavering love for the Star Wars prequels (yes, really), he has continued to write news and features on the site ever since.
