There are now new updates for the Google Play System on Samsung’s smartphones and tables as well. However, for some devices, a 167KB update is available. While for others, they’re receiving a larger 18MB package.
Nevertheless, Google is yet to reveal what the updates involve. The updates come with features like: bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, as well as new features for Google’s apps and services.
Additionally, the Google Play system update date still remains the same as before, after the installation (July 1, 2026). Google is rolling out the updates worldwide. You can install the latest Google Play System update by going to Settings > Security and privacy > Updates > Google Play system update.
