Anime Origins Secret Units: How to Get Them All

Anime Origins has climbed past 23 million visits since its October 2025 debut, and its Secret-tier units are the reason grinders keep coming back. These are the strongest units in the game, sitting above every Legendary and Mythic on the roster, and each one demands a genuinely different kind of effort to unlock. If you already farm Anime Vanguards codes for a similar rarity boost, the acquisition logic here will feel familiar, though Anime Origins ties its Secrets to specific systems rather than one shared banner.

As of September 3, 2026, exactly three Secret units exist: Valcrad, Modora, and Cursed Lover. Each traces back to a different anime icon, and each sits behind a different obstacle: pure luck, a multi-stage questline, or a timed farming loop. Below is what each one actually takes, plus which one deserves your time first.

How Many Secret Units Are in Anime Origins?

Three. No fourth Secret unit is confirmed as of this writing, despite the occasional wiki entry hinting at more. Every unit requires player level 10 before it can be summoned, unlocked, or equipped, so grind past that threshold before chasing any of them.

All 3 Secret Units and How to Get Them

    1. Valcrad (Alucard)

Valcrad draws from Alucard in Hellsing and comes purely from the summon banner.

    • Obtained via: Summon banner (costs Gems)
    • Drop rate: Community trackers put it around 1 in 10,000 per pull, though a few guides list a softer 0.1% tied to a 10,000-pull pity
    • Pity: Guaranteed by your 10,000th summon, according to most trackers
    • Level requirement: 10

The developer hasn’t published an official rate for Valcrad, so treat any number here as a community estimate rather than a confirmed stat. Pulling him early is a bonus, not a plan.

    2. Modora (Madara Uchiha)

Modora is the Madara Uchiha unit, and he’s locked behind a questline in the Hidden Sand region rather than a summon pull.

    • Obtained via: Hidden Sand questline
    • Steps: Farm the SND-4 artifact from a Hidden Sand Legend Stage, craft the Ghost Gunbai, clear Trial I (15 waves) for the Key of the Ghost, then clear Trial II (15 waves) to claim Modora
    • Level requirement: 10

It launched as the hardest Secret to obtain in the game, and the developer has already trimmed the requirements once to make the line more approachable. Expect the exact steps to keep shifting as the difficulty gets tuned further.

    3. Cursed Lover (Yuta Okkotsu)

Cursed Lover is built on Yuta Okkotsu from Jujutsu Kaisen, and he comes from a recurring event rather than a one-time quest. If you’re already deep in Jujutsu Zero codes for a JJK fix, this unit scratches the same itch inside Anime Origins.

    • Obtained via: Rift portals
    • Spawn pattern: Every 3 hours, active for a 30-minute window, tracked by a countdown timer in the bottom right corner
    • Drop rate: Roughly 2% per cleared Rift
    • Pity: Guaranteed by your 40th Rift clear
    • Level requirement: 10

Unlike Valcrad, Cursed Lover is farmable on a schedule. Show up for Rifts consistently and the pity count does the rest.

Which Secret Unit to Chase First

All three Secrets sit in S tier once evolved, but they fill different roles, so the “best” one depends on what your team lacks.

    • Modora, evolved into Madara (Edo Tensei), works as the safest all-purpose carry. His Heaven Splitter hits for 500% damage in a wide slash that reaches well past his normal range, making him useful in nearly any stage.
    • Valcrad, evolved into Valcrad Unleashed, specializes in boss control. His Coffin Trap stuns bosses for 7 seconds, which matters far more in raid-style content than in standard waves.
    • Cursed Lover, evolved into Cursed Lover (Pure Love), scales with your account rather than any fixed kit. He can store up to four copied active abilities and keeps their original effects and cooldowns, so his ceiling rises as you unlock more units to copy from.

Because Modora and Cursed Lover are both farmable through effort rather than chance, prioritize those two before treating Valcrad’s banner as anything more than a lucky bonus.

    Evolving Your Secret Units

Getting a Secret unit isn’t the finish line. Each one needs a second push through Mokito’s Evolve room to reach its strongest form:

    • Valcrad turns into Valcrad Unleashed
    • Modora turns into Madara (Edo Tensei), which needs Remnant materials (Azure, Violet, Radiant, and Prismatic) plus one Rinnegan pulled from Sand 4 Artifacts
    • Cursed Lover turns into Cursed Lover (Pure Love)

Remnant materials drop from Challenges and can also be bought from the Merchant using Coins, so this stage is a grind rather than a gamble. If you’re stacking resources across multiple anime gacha titles, the same patience pays off in Anime Expeditions codes for extra rerolls while you wait out Anime Origins drops.

    Final Thoughts

Anime Origins is still young, and its Secret-unit systems have already been adjusted once since launch. Expect the developer to keep tuning drop rates and quest length as the player base pushes further into endgame content, so treat any specific number here as current rather than permanent.

How many Secret units does Anime Origins have?

Three: Valcrad, Modora, and Cursed Lover, as of September 2026.

Is Valcrad’s summon rate guaranteed at some point?

Yes. Most trackers report a pity system that guarantees him by your 10,000th summon, though Anime Origins hasn’t confirmed an official rate.

How often does the Cursed Lover Rift spawn?

Every 3 hours, staying active for a 30-minute window with a visible countdown timer.

Does being under level 10 stop me from getting any Secret unit?

Yes. All three Secrets, including summon-based Valcrad, require player level 10 before they can be obtained or used.
