Most big TVs turn into a giant black rectangle the moment you switch them off. Hisense’s 55-inch CanvasTV (model 55S7SG) is built to avoid that, and Amazon has it for $699.99, down from a listed price of $1,499.99. That’s 53% off, or $800 saved.

When the TV is idle, it can display artwork or your own photos, so it looks like a framed picture hanging on the wall. The screen has a matte, anti-glare finish that cuts reflections from windows and lamps, which also keeps the art looking sharp in a bright room. The frame attaches with magnets, so you can swap in other styles (sold separately) to match your decor.

It’s a full-featured TV too. The 4K QLED screen uses tiny quantum dots for richer color, and it supports Dolby Vision for compatible movies and shows. Gamers get a 144Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium support, which keep fast action smooth. Google TV handles your streaming apps.

At $699.99, you get a TV that doubles as wall art without paying the $1,499.99 list price. Check the Hisense CanvasTV deal on Amazon to see if the price is still live.
