This year’s much-anticipated IFA convention is finally live, and we’ve now gotten a ton of big tech announcements from major players in the industry. One great example is Xiaomi, which revealed that its “Mijia” smart home brand is taking big steps for a European expansion. Posting on its official social media pages, Xiaomi states:
Mijia is entering Europe at scale.
With “The Art of Smart Living” at the heart of the brand, Mijia is bringing its smart home experience to more consumers across Europe.
Human-centric Intelligence that adapts to you. Proven Quality that stands up to everyday life. Essential Design that blends naturally into your home. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
That being said, Xiaomi is showcasing several products under the Mijia line-up including its Tri-Drum Washer which is capable of handling tough stains and can even separate loads entirely on its own. The brand is also demonstrating a new smart Air Conditioner which uses millimeter-wave radar to map the room, balancing personal comfort with energy efficiency, as well as a Cryo Fresh Refrigerator that can supposedly extend food shelf life.

Xiaomi adds that Mijia operates as a critical pillar of its broader “Human × Car × Home” strategy. Beyond smartphones, the company has been rather successful at entering other industry categories, as seen with its EV division and smart accessories products.
