Xiaomi’s automotive ambitions have been nothing short of impressive, and the company’s wasted no time in expanding its reach within the industry following the launch of the SU7. That said, Xiaomi recently announced that its auto division is finally entering the European market in 2027, with an initial rollout that’s set to kick off in Germany.

The Chinese tech giant announced the move at IFA Berlin 2026, where it signed initial Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with several of Germany’s largest and most established automotive dealer networks. Xiaomi will be partnering with established traditional retail groups including Ernst Dello GmbH & Co. KG, Autohaus Dinnebier GmbH, Emil Frey Germany, Fett & Wirtz Automobile GmbH & Co. KG, Hahn Automobile GmbH + Co. KG, LUEG Mobility GmbH, Penske-Jacobs Innovation GmbH, SPT Avior SE & Co. KG, instead of attempting a direct-to-consumer sales model.

According to Xiaomi, this more “traditional” approach to dealer strategy aims to provide local European buyers with direct access to service, maintenance, and warranty support right from launch. At this point in time, the company has now shipped over 700,000 vehicles in China, with its SU7 sedan crossing 500,000 units.

The European expansion also marks the next phase of the company’s “Human × Car × Home” ecosystem, which bridges the brand’s smart devices, home appliances, and vehicles into a single computing environment. Xiaomi is also backing its European push with an existing research and development center in Munich. European pricing and delivery timelines will be announced in the future.
