North America

The North American approach features new protagonist Rose Belmont looking upon Dracula’s Castle. It’s actually a really cool image, and we love the use of colour here – the reds and oranges work really well, while the start contrast of the yellow logo at the top is great.

Okay, so Europe and Japan went in quite a drastic different direction. Here, we have an illustration by the legendary Japanese artist Katsuya Terada, showcasing some of the game’s many fearsome creatures surrounding Rose Belmont. It reminds us of the classic Castlevania box arts from the NES and SNES era, and particularly the Symphony of the Night key art from 1997.
