If you’ve seen my articles around XDA, you’ll know that I absolutely adore e-ink readers. So, when I heard that BOOX was releasing three more devices to cover every possible use case, I knew I had to check them out.
The company has given us a sneak peek at the Note Air6 C, the Note Mini C, and the Palma 3, and there’s something for you no matter what you want from your device.

First up, let’s take a look at the flagship model. The Note Air6 C is meant to be a productivity powerhouse in e-ink form. It lets you read, write, and get work done on a sleek-looking screen. It packs a Kaleido 3 color display capable of 4096 colors, an octa-core 4nm chip, 6GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage, expandable to 2TB with a microSD card.
In terms of software, the Note Air6 C comes with some handy tools. If you want apps, the Note Air6 C, like all products in this range, gives you access to Google Play, so Teams, Outlook, and Slack run natively. Built-in apps include Dual Notes, which lets you view two documents side by side for easier reading, plus Talk Insights, an AI-powered transcription tool, and OCR scanning. It costs $580 and is available right now at the BOOX shop or on Amazon.
If that’s a little too big for your liking, the Note Mini C is always an option. It shrinks everything down to an 8.52-inch screen and weighs 300 grams. It shares the same processor and RAM as its bigger sibling, and also comes with a magnetic InkSight stylus. The Note Mini C is similarly priced at $580, though it won’t ship for a while.
Finally, there’s the Palma 3. As the name suggests, this smaller gadget is designed to sit in your hand. BOOX says that its main design is to act as a second screen for your phone, letting you read books, analyze documents, or otherwise enjoy your device without the constant flow of notifications. It comes with a 3,950mAh battery for multi-day use, 128GB of storage, and a 16MP camera for document scanning. This one isn’t out yet, but it will cost only $340.
