As we move into the “ber” months, we’re finally seeing more big tech announcements, and this week it’s Xiaomi that’s in the spotlight. More specifically, the Chinese tech giant announced that’s now in the process of rolling out the Global Beta version of HyperOS 4, which brings a set of new features for Android users.
With that in mind, Xiaomi announced the rollout through its community forums—part of the company’s official statement reads:
Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Global Beta Version is now rolling out!
The update is currently rolling out gradually to registered participants for the initially listed device models. We sincerely invite you to try out the new version!
You can manually check for updates by going to “Settings > About phone” and tapping on the version number. If a new version is available, you can proceed with the upgrade.

As for compatibility however, Xiaomi is keeping the beta update limited to a handful of devices, which mostly include its high-end smartphones like the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the Leica Leitzphone, and the base Xiaomi 17 model. As mentioned by Xiaomi, users enrolled in the beta program can download the update within their phones’ Settings menu.
