Adobe Premiere mobile is finally available on Android, bringing the company’s mobile video editor to millions more users after launching on iPhone last year.
The app is available for free through the Google Play Store and is designed to pack more serious editing tools into a phone-friendly interface. That includes a multi-track timeline for layering video, music, voiceovers, text and effects, along with frame-accurate editing for more precise cuts.
Adobe is also putting plenty of attention on audio. Its Enhance Audio tool can reduce distracting background noise and improve the clarity of interviews, voiceovers and other recordings with a single tap. You can also use templates to get an edit started quickly, or build your own, while effects, transitions, music and other creative assets are available from Adobe Stock, your own files or extracted audio.
There are some useful extras for creators who don’t want to leave their phone behind, too. Premiere mobile can edit and export video at up to 4K, and Adobe says the experience is free of ads, watermarks and forced login or upgrade prompts.
The app also includes Firefly-powered generative AI features, including Generative Fill, Image-to-Video and Generate Sound Effects. Adobe says more features are coming, including Adobe Fonts, enhanced captions, keyframes, cropping, beat detection and the ability to continue editing projects in Premiere on desktop.

The Android version requires Android 13 or later and at least 5GB of RAM. The basic mobile app is free, although Adobe offers upgrades for additional generative credits and storage.
For Android users who have been waiting to get their hands on Premiere, the wait is now over. Adobe says the app was built with feedback from creators who wanted to edit while travelling or away from a computer, whether that’s turning camera footage into social clips or quickly polishing something shot on a phone.
