If you haven’t already seen it, Japanese retailers are stocking a GKC version with a “special sleeve”. Here’s a look at it alongside the standard box art (via social media):

As you can see, it’s basically the existing cover art with gold details and trim. On the back, there’s also an emblem and some lovely pixel art.
In our review of the Switch 2 version, we said Dragon Quest XI S was still worth a look if you’re a newcomer, or even a fan looking to do a fresh run (thanks to the performance boosts). Otherwise, you might be better off waiting for a sale on this one.
