Update [Mon 28th Sep 2026, 5:35pm]: Amazon UK has joined Smyths and Argos in discounting the Switch 2 down to £354.99. It’s still not clear how long this will be applicable, but it’s likely that outlets are attempting to shift older stock of the console to make way for the new model with the replaceable battery.
Whatever the case, make sure you don’t miss out on this deal if you’ve yet to pick up a Switch 2!

Original Story: Earlier this year, Nintendo increased the price of the Switch 2 across multiple regions, including the UK. While the console launched at £395.99 back in June 2025, its price was raised to £419.99 thanks to global component shortages.
Right now, however, you can pick up a Switch 2 for £354.99 from either Argos or Smyths in the UK. This is comfortably the cheapest price you can currently find for the console anywhere in the country, saving you a cool £65 – enough to add a game of your choice, if you wish.
It’s not clear if this is a temporary price to shift some stock, or if it’s something that will be in place for a little while, but we’d highly recommend taking advantage of it while you can.
Nintendo is also planning to launch a Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 on 29th October, priced at £429.99. However, demand for this is considerably high, so it’s sold out at most retailers at the time of writing.
