Forty-nine minutes on the charger can take this laptop from a low battery back up to 60%, and right now it costs £270 less than usual.
That laptop is the ASUS Vivobook 15, which Amazon has dropped from its £699.99 RRP to £429.99 in a limited time deal, a 39% cut on a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Home machine built for everyday work, study and streaming.

At £429.99, the ASUS Vivobook 15 sits squarely in the price bracket covered by our best budget laptop guide, while still bringing the Full HD screen, DDR5 memory and SSD storage that keep a daily laptop feeling quick from the moment you open the lid.
That quickness comes from Intel’s Core 5 315, a six-core, six-thread processor paired with 8GB of DDR5 RAM and a 256GB PCIe SSD, so a stack of browser tabs, a shared document and a video call can all run smoothly side by side.
All of that plays out on a 15.6-inch Full HD display with TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification for lower blue light. It suits long essay sessions and evening streaming alike, and the hinge folds a full 180 degrees flat for sharing your screen across a table.

Carrying it to that table is easy, too, since the Vivobook weighs 1.7kg and is tested to the US MIL-STD-810H military-grade standard, so it slips into a backpack for the commute, a lecture or a café and holds up to daily trips.
Once you sit down, a USB 3.2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port and HDMI cover your accessories and a second screen, while Wi-Fi 6E keeps downloads and cloud files moving quickly on a modern router.

Power comes over USB-C as well, and the laptop ships without an adaptor in line with EU rules on electronic waste, so any 65W USB-C charger you already own handles the fast charging that reaches 60% in as little as 49 minutes.
Our best laptop guide leans towards creative and gaming powerhouses, but for notes, spreadsheets, streaming and video calls, the ASUS Vivobook 15 at £429.99 covers the essentials while keeping £270 in your pocket for as long as this limited time deal runs.
