Daegu’s integrated Future Innovation Tech Expo again combines four major events: DIFA, ROBEX, ITCE, and Startups (PNP Korea Expo plus the Startup Arena) to show how AI is moving from industrial pilots into mobility, robotics, ICT, and daily services.
This October, the city of Daegu will host FIX 2026, the third edition of its Future Innovation Tech Expo. The show combines four distinct trade events: mobility, robotics, ICT, and startup innovation, under the shared theme “AI, Beyond Technology, Into Everyday Life.”
- Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo (DIFA)
- Daegu Robot Expo (ROBEX)
- ICT Convergence Expo Korea (ITCE)
- Startups: PNP Korea Expo and the Startup Arena
Together, these form an integrated showcase for the region’s push toward AI-driven industrial change, often framed in Korea as AX (AI Transformation). The exhibition runs from October 21 to 24, 2026 at EXCO, with the accompanying conference scheduled for October 21 to 23.
The 2026 theme reflects Daegu’s aim to show how AI and related technologies appear on factory floors and in everyday visitor experiences, not just in lab demos. According to Daegu Metropolitan City, the combined fair will feature 588 participating enterprises, with overseas exhibitors accounting for 28 percent of participants (versus 17 percent in the city’s 2025 comparison figures).
Last year, Jae Myung Lee, President of South Korea, made a Surprise Visit to FIX 2025
Kyung-ho Choo, Mayor of Daegu Metropolitan City, said: “The FIX Innovation Awards serve as a springboard for companies possessing outstanding innovative technologies to gain international recognition and grow into global market leaders… By experiencing how AI and cutting-edge technologies are deeply permeating industrial fields and citizens’ daily lives, and by generating tangible export and investment outcomes through technical cooperation and business exchanges among domestic and international enterprises, we will ensure Daegu takes another bold leap forward as a central hub for future industries.”

The DIFA section examines how electrification, AI, and automation are reshaping transport systems, including software-defined vehicles, autonomous logistics, urban air mobility (UAM), and EV experiences.
Hyundai Motor Company is set to showcase autonomous-driving work labeled ATRIA AI and Pleos, according to city press materials. RideFlux and Mars Auto are listed with autonomous driving trailers tied to Daegu’s logistics demonstration project, while China’s Neolix is named for its N3 and N6 robovan models.
Germany’s Volocopter is scheduled for a Volocity boarding experience alongside other UAM visitor programs. Automakers and partners named among participants include Mercedes-Benz, Zeekr, BYD, and GMTCK, with Mercedes-Benz and BYD EV test drives listed for visitors. Regional suppliers such as SL Corporation, Sambo Motors, PHC, and L&F appear in the same materials as examples of how mobility supply chains and AI-enabled manufacturing overlap under the AX framing.
Daegu Robot Expo (ROBEX)

ROBEX, branded as the 15th Daegu Robot EXPO, focuses on industrial collaborative robots, service robotics, and humanoid task demos.
Organizers highlight participation from HD Hyundai Robotics, including tire-handling automation built around its HDC35-18 collaborative robot, and from Doosan Robotics, which is listed with several solutions, including Scan&Go. A-Robot, HRT Robotics, and Dogu Robotics are also named for industrial automation work.
On the visitor-demo side, Younghyun Robotics is scheduled to show collaborative robots that prepare ice cream and coffee, while the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) is showcasing humanoid task demonstrations. ROBEX is pitched as showing how Korean and visiting robot firms are extending automation from factories into service settings.
ICT Convergence Expo Korea (ITCE)
ITCE covers AI platforms, industrial AI software, cloud tooling, and related ICT applications, serving as the event’s digital backbone.
Megazone Cloud is set to present Megazone AIR, described in city materials as an AI-integrated management platform, with OnePredict named among industrial AI participants. Organizers also list cohorts of AI enterprises from Zhejiang, China, and from ASEAN.
KT is installing what organizers describe as KT AI Station, a mobile AI experience facility that includes deepfake and fake-news zones meant to underline misuse risks alongside capability demos. ITCE frames Korea’s AI stack – software, cloud operations, and applied industrial tools – as something visitors can walk through rather than only hear about on stage.
Startups: PNP Korea Expo and the Startup Arena
This year, the startup sector integrates the PNP Korea Expo and the Startup Arena, presenting early-stage companies alongside global partners in one zone.
According to Daegu Metropolitan City, PNP Korea Expo brings 91 global partners from 12 countries, including Thales, Fund WA, and Alibaba Cloud. The Startup Arena is listed with about 30 companies, including Mobinn, Aims, Ziorobot, and Fix Robot. The combined area is meant to operate as a practical bridge between R&D demos and buyer or investor conversations elsewhere on the show floor.
Conference Program
Running alongside the exhibition from October 21 to 23, the FIX 2026 Conference is described by Daegu Metropolitan City as bringing together 60 experts from 17 countries (some local press paraphrases cite 61 speakers from 14 countries). Confirmed keynote names in the city’s English materials include Professor Kyu-Jin Cho of Seoul National University, Brian McMurray of GMTCK, Professor Xiaoxiao Li of the Vector Institute, Francesco Ferro of PAL Robotics, and Jupe Tan Sze Wei of Plug and Play. A special lecture for students and youth is scheduled at Orbit (Jaehyeok Kim).
FIX 2026 Innovation Awards
Daegu Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Sungjoo Hong presented at the FIX 2025 Innovation Awards ceremony on October 23, 2025, at EXCO in Daegu, South Korea
Daegu has already announced the FIX 2026 Innovation Awards! According to the city, 31 companies were selected from 209 applicants: 9 Best Innovation Technology Awards and 22 Innovation Awards. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, at 15:00 in the EXCO East Wing Open Seminar Room.
Organizers named SWM (Physical AI urban robotaxi service), ONEPREDICT (AI-Native Solution), and AeiROBOT (Alice 5 humanoid) among the Best recipients. Details are on the live FIX awards page.
Business and Buyer Programs
Export consultation meetings are expanded to two days, October 22 and 23, according to Daegu Metropolitan City. Buyers invited through KOTRA and private agencies are listed at 88 companies from 19 countries, with PNP Expo partners listed separately at 91 from 12 countries; the official export page uses a softer “~100 buyers” framing, and Ubergizmo is not merging those figures into a single total.
A Large Enterprise Procurement Consultation Session will bring together about 50 major Korean enterprises, including Samsung SDI, POSCO, Hanwha, and SK Hynix, to open procurement and cooperation channels with SMEs.
