Apple launched its latest entry-level iPad in March last year. However, its successor is expected to arrive in spring next year.
Upcoming iPad 12 specs
A new report from Apple’s code reveals the main specs of the upcoming tablet. The next entry-level iPad 12 will be powered by the A19 chip, paired with 8GB of RAM. This is no doubt a big upgrade over the existing model’s A16 chip and 6GB of RAM. Also, there’s Apple Intelligence support and the new Siri AI on the device.
Moreover, the new tablet will also get Apple’s C1X modem, with support for sub-6GHz 5G networks, and its N1 networking chip with support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread.
Due to the price increase in June, current entry-level iPad 12 is now priced at $449. Probably the coming device with the upgrades will start from at least $499.
