You don’t need the newest smartwatch to get a good one. Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 for $159, down from $249.99. That’s 36% off, or about $91 saved.
The Watch 7 launched in 2024, so it’s a couple of models behind. Samsung’s newer Galaxy Watch 9 went on sale in August for $379.99, which means the Watch 7 costs $220 less. For most people, that gap buys a lot of watch that does the same everyday jobs.
Age hasn’t made it slow or limited. It still tracks your workouts and sleep, checks your heart rate, and shows texts and calls from your phone. It also runs Google’s Wear OS software, so you can add apps from the Play Store.
Samsung hasn’t forgotten about it, either. The company has started testing its newest watch software on the Watch 7, though that test version has only reached South Korea so far. That’s a good sign the watch will keep getting updates.
One thing to know before you buy: the Watch 7 works with Android phones only, so iPhone owners should skip this one.
At $159, it’s a lot of smartwatch for the money. Grab the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 on Amazon before the price changes.
