Honor says the Magic9 Pro Max’s lens arrangement “takes inspiration from the design language of one of ARRI’s most iconic cinema cameras”. Honor also promises that “selected elements of ARRI’s renowned image science and professional cinema workflow have been adapted for use in a smartphone, giving creators greater flexibility during production while preserving creative control throughout post-production”.
According to recent rumors, the Magic9 Pro Max will have a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.28″ type sensor, a 50MP ultrawide, as well as a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.4″ type sensor. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset.
