Microsoft Teams will soon allow two participants to share their screens simultaneously during a meeting. At present, the platform limits sharing to a single user at a time, forcing a second presenter to override the active broadcast or wait until the current session ends.

According to updates in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the upcoming functionality will let two distinct presenters display a desktop, window, or document concurrently. Meeting attendees will be able to view both feeds side by side on their monitors, streamlining collaboration without requiring participants to alternate control back and forth.

This update directly addresses common collaborative bottlenecks, particularly in scenarios requiring immediate cross-referencing. Teams can compare documents side by side, review contrasting data sets, or inspect separate technical environments during operational reviews and demos.

Additionally, the format supports presentations where one user highlights reference data or slides while another guides the primary live walkthrough, ensuring supporting context remains visible throughout the discussion.

    • Dual Presenters: Two participants can share individual screens or application windows simultaneously.
    • Side-by-Side Viewing: Attendees view both live feeds on a unified display interface.
    • Streamlined Workflows: Eliminates the need to interrupt or replace an active screen broadcast.
    • Target Platforms: Launching first for desktop clients and web browsers.

The feature is currently in active development, with an anticipated rollout scheduled for November 2026. Microsoft plans to deploy the capability across the Microsoft Teams desktop application and supported web browsers first. An official release timeline for mobile platforms has not yet been announced.
