Now that the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV Online is available on the Switch 2, Square Enix is looking towards the game’s sixth expansion, Evercold.
We previously heard how it would be coming in January 2027, and now at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in Tokyo this weekend, Square Enix has announced the date has been shifted to 23rd February 2027. Pre-orders will begin on 4th November 2026, with early access opening on 19th February 2027.
As previously confirmed, it will come with new jobs, cities, areas, dungeons, trials, new areas, a level cap increase and much more. Joining the Bastion job is the new physical ranged DPS, Zephyr. You can find out more about what’s included in Evercold in our previous story and on the FFXIV YouTube channel.
