Not too long ago, BYD announced that it’s bringing over its new seven-seater Ti 7 SUV, in a bid to win over buyers in the United Kingdom. While the company didn’t unveil too much details about the new model, it looks like BYD’s now unveiled its gameplan in challenging more established auto brands in the UK, at least when it comes to the SUV segment.
With that in mind, the Ti 7 undercuts most competitors starting at £47,995, and for this you’re getting BYD’s high-performance DM-p (Dual Mode performance) Super Hybrid powertrain. It’s interesting to note though that the Ti7 isn’t an entirely “new” release however, as it was made available for several regions prior to the UK.
That said, the Ti 7 will be offered exclusively in an AWD trim—the vehicle features 20-inch alloy wheels, a front and rear electric motor with a 1.5-litre turbocharged gas engine combo that can propel the SUV from 0 to 62mph in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 118mph. Power is supported by a 35.6kWh Blade Battery, with an electric-only range of up to 74 miles, while the gas engine primarily acts as a generator to maximize total driving range.

Inside, the cabin offers leather seating across all three rows with heating and ventilation for the front and outer second-row seats, three-zone climate control, and a built-in refrigerator and drinks warmer. You’re also getting a 15.6-inch main touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, and an 18-speaker audio system. It’s pretty spacious as well, with cargo capacity expanding from 126 litres in seven-seat mode up to 1,830 litres with the rear rows folded flat.
The BYD Ti 7 is available to pre-order now across UK retailers ahead of first customer deliveries scheduled for January 2027, and early adopters who place a £500 deposit will receive a matching £500 contribution from BYD toward their purchase.
