Big Walk is a game where you walk with your friends. It is a relaxing experience where you listen to the calming sounds of the wind in the trees, and the water washing ashore on the beach.

Sometimes all players want is to explore without fighting and these games offer that exact experience.
It is a game where you solve puzzles, and sometimes those puzzles are solved in funny ways, like wiggling your arms in random directions behind a wall of soundproof glass.
Big Walk is a lowkey title that is surprisingly very fun, but it isn’t the only calm game that you can find out there, and it is far from the only one with puzzles. So, what games are worth picking up once you have finished your Big Walk?

PowerWash Simulator
Relax and Clean
Going on walks is pretty relaxing. I’ve been playing a fair amount of Big Walk, and I have found enjoyment sitting by the beach and listening to the waves. I have also had a lot of fun talking with friends while wandering around aimlessly.
A game that I think matches the overall peace and serenity that you get from Big Walk is PowerWash Simulator. This game is as basic as the name suggests. You are only required to wash away the dirt and grime with your trusty power washer.
While it may sound boring, PowerWash Simulator is actually a very soothing experience, and it is one that you can have with your friends. Plus, there are a lot of maps now, surprisingly varied and silly objectives, and even a sequel title.

Map Map – A Game About Maps
Adventure Awaits
While Big Walk is a game about completing puzzles and hanging out with your friends, it is also a game that is about getting lost and seeking adventure. There is another title like that, and it is called Map Map — A Game About Maps.
In this game, you are required to explore islands and map your surroundings like a real cartographer. You are given blank maps, and all the tools you need to fill them in.
The detailed exploration in this game is great, involving a lot of different items that make it feel like a true adventure. There are meaningful objectives beyond the experience itself, too: Mapping the islands leads you to more and more treasure, making it a rewarding process as well.

RV There Yet?
A Friendly RV Ride
There is a silly aspect to Big Walk that we have seen in a lot of different games over the last few years. As you explore the world, you come across puzzles, and some of these require humorous interactions where you need to communicate in different ways.
Along with this, things can just go wrong on your hike through the woods. You can lose your walkie-talkie or fall off a cliff. This is reminiscent of RV There Yet.
In this game, you and your friends must navigate difficult paths in an RV, and the terrain can be very puzzling, leading to some hilarious mistakes. While this game isn’t as relaxing as others on this list, it shares that amusing puzzle nature and good vibes. Whether you succeed or fail, you won’t be able to stop laughing.

Solarpunk
Cozy Survival
Big Walk is a game where you wander around an island, taking in the views and enjoying your time in nature. Another game with a similar feeling to this is Solarpunk.
This is a survival title, but it doesn’t have you fighting vicious enemies, contending with dinosaurs, or avoiding death via creeper explosion. Instead, it is rather cozy, giving you the opportunity to explore floating islands in peace.
Instead of feeling that constant anxiety of something being around the corner, Solarpunk gives you the chance to relax, build a farm with your friends, float through the sky, and live your life without much of a care in the world. You can simply be one with nature and listen to the wind as you sail off in your airship.

Slime Rancher
Wander and Collect
I can’t honestly say that Big Walk is a game where you collect slime and place it in a cage. That would be absurd, but it is a game where you wander, get lost, and discover new opportunities. Much like Slime Rancher.
Slime Rancher is a bit of an odd title, as it is a cute exploration game where you collect various slimes via a vacuum gun and place them in pens. You then tend to their needs by feeding them and giving them water. You can also breed slimes to create new types of oozes.
The entire game is adorable, with slimes that smile at you as they bounce around the open fields, forest, and canyons of your world. Much like Big Walk, it is a game where you can relax and truly enjoy yourself without worrying about what’s around you to the greatest degree.
5
Outbound
You and Your Van
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to own a van and just drive? Well, Outbound gives you the experience of this in the cozy comfort of your home.
Instead of walking around the map like in Big Walk, Outbound has you take your van across the map, crafting items and navigating the terrain as you go. Of course, you can bring your friends along for the ride, as no trip would be complete without them.
As you explore, you will collect items that allow you to develop more components with which to upgrade your van, turning it into a home that is fit for you and your friends. There are plenty of beautiful sights to see across this map, and the entire journey is very relaxing while continually offering goals to aim for.

A Game About Chopping Trees
Spending Time in the Great Outdoors
You read that right, this is A Game About Chopping Trees — a smaller indie title that you might not have heard of, but one that is very relaxing and gives you the deep dive into nature that you are possibly craving if you like Big Walk.
One of the best parts of Big Walk, for me, is listening to the sounds of nature as I walk with my friends, and this indie title captures that quite well. It allows you to wander, take a moment to listen to nature, and then you can take an axe to that nature by cutting down some trees.
As you explore the wilderness, you can pick up a radio and listen to some soothing music. There is nothing like getting into nature in the comfort of your own home, and here’s another way to experience it.
3
The Talos Principle
Calm Puzzle Action
One of my favorite puzzle games is The Talos Principle. It combines relaxation with difficult puzzles. Granted, there are some conundrums with harmful effects like lasers, but they aren’t much of a threat.
As I mentioned previously, Big Walk is a game where you solve puzzles with friends. These puzzles aren’t extremely difficult, but they can stump you for a minute or two, and it is this puzzle aspect that is reminiscent of The Talos Principle.
In this game, you explore a large island and try to piece together its mysteries. It is calm, and you can take your time solving each puzzle without worrying about some overarching danger. It is fairly relaxing, as long as you don’t get frustrated by some of the more obtuse solutions to the dilemmas you face.
2
Sky: Children of the Light
Cozy Art Puzzles
One thing that I love about a game is when the developer fully embraces their artistic side and creates something that stands out. Big Walk is relaxing, and the characters are quite interesting, with a distinctive look about it all. Another game that stands out in the cozy and relaxing space is Sky: Children of Light.
This is a free game that you can get on Steam and other platforms. It fully embraces the artistic side of gaming, with adorable characters, unique environments, and interesting puzzles. The world is full of endless wonder, and part of the game requires you to piece together the answers, much like Big Walk.
If you aren’t a big fan of solving puzzles on your own, this game has online co-op, allowing you to bring in some help if you’re stuck on a problem. There is even a Van Gogh update that is gorgeous.
1
The Witness
An Island of Puzzles
You wake up, alone. You are on a strange island with no idea of where to go, but there are puzzles all around you. No, I am not talking about Big Walk. I am talking about a game called The Witness.
Your main goal being to discover who you are, why you are here, and regain your memories so that you can find your way home. Across the island, you will find over 500 puzzles to solve, which is far more than you will find in Big Walk.
Along with this, the calm serenity of the island isn’t a bad place to call home. Listening to the sounds of the unique natural world, it is as close as you can get to Big Walk but playing by yourself. I highly suggest giving it a chance if you are a fan of more unique puzzles, as many of them are super unique.
